- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The new intermetallic compounds CaAu<sub>1.02</sub>Zn<sub>0.98</sub>, SrPdZn, SrPtZn, SrAu<sub>1.03</sub>Zn<sub>0.97</sub>, BaPd<sub>1.57</sub>Zn<sub>3.43</sub>, and BaAu<sub>1.41</sub>Zn<sub>3.59</sub> are synthesized from the elements in an induction furnace (Nb ampules, 1300 K for 2 h and 950 K for 96 h).</p> </abstract>
