<abstract abstract-type="short" id="ajt12910-abs-0002"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>The brief communication by Subramanian et al (page 2359) raises important questions about the central role of collagen type V and k‐α1‐tubulin in lung transplantation, and why these particular self‐antigens are so immunogenic that antibody to one, present at the time of lung transplantation, induces a rapid response to the other.</p> </abstract>
