A channel of circular/elliptical cross‐section embedded inside an elastomeric layer is used as the curved surface; its wetting reduces interfacial tension. Consequently the thin skin of the channel bulges out, which results in an aspherical lens. A lens filter is generated by using liquid of the desired color inside the channel. <boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgh1c9jd1h9" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p>
