<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Biocatalytic propane production:</bold> structure‐based engineering of aldehyde‐deformylating oxygenase improves specificity for short‐ and medium‐chain‐length aldehydes and enhances the propane generation in whole‐cell biotransformations.
