<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201401937-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Uniform porous silicon hollow nano­spheres</bold> are prepared without any sacrificial templates through a magnesio­thermic reduction of mesoporous silica hollow nanospheres and surface modified by the following in situ chemical polymerization of polypyrrole.
