- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Samples of CaSr<sub>2</sub>Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>6</sub>:xCe<sup>3+</sup>, xLi<sup>+</sup> (0.01 ≤ x ≤ 0.09) and CaSr<sub>2</sub>Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>6</sub>:0.03Ce<sup>3+</sup>, 0.03Li <sup>+</sup>, yMn<sup>2+</sup> (0 ≤ y ≤ 0.07) are prepared by solid state reactions of CaCO<sub>3</sub>, SrCO<sub>3</sub>, Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, CeO<sub>2</sub>, and MnCO<sub>3</sub> (alumina crucibles, 10%H<sub>2</sub>/N<sub>2</sub>, 1400 °C, 6 h).</p> </abstract>
