<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The H<sub>2</sub>O insoluble complex of title ([Ru<sup>II</sup>bipy]<sub>5</sub>[Ru<sup>III</sup><sub>4</sub>POM]) is prepared by reduction of Rb<sub>8</sub>K<sub>2</sub> [{Ru<sup>IV</sup><sub>4</sub>O<sub>4</sub>(OH)<sub>2</sub> (H<sub>2</sub>O)<sub>4</sub>} (γ‐SiW<sub>10</sub>O<sub>36</sub>)<sub>2</sub>] with NaBH<sub>4</sub> followed by precipitation with [Ru(bipy)<sub>3</sub>]Cl<sub>2</sub>.</p> </abstract>
