<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201400941-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Current red‐blood‐cell cryopreservation methods</bold> utilize bulk volumes, causing cryo‐injury of cells, which results in irreversible disruption of cell morphology, mechanics, and function.
