- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The new compounds CdSm<sub>2</sub>(TeO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>Cl<sub>4</sub> (I), CdEu<sub>2</sub>(TeO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>Cl<sub>4</sub> (II), and CdGd<sub>2</sub>(TeO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>Cl<sub>4</sub> (III) are synthesized by the salt flux method from mixtures of LnOCl (Ln: Sm, Eu, Gd), TeO<sub>2</sub>, and CdCl<sub>2</sub> (850 °C, 7 d).</p> </abstract>
