- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201470201-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>A novel method for the fabrication of enzyme‐entrapped conducting‐polymer nanofibers, that offer higher sensitivity and increased lifetime compared with glucose sensors based on conducting polymer films is discussed by M. R. Abidian and co‐workers on page 4954. The presented strategy has the advantages of offering a suitable nanoscale matrix for entrapment of glucose oxidase (GOx), reducing the impedance of Pt microelectrodes; increasing entrapment of GOx within poly(3, 4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT); and detecting glucose at a lower polarization potential, resulting in less activity loss of the PEDOT. <boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pghxg0j23m" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
