<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201401194-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Hierarchically designed SiO_x/SiO_y</bold> rolled‐up bilayer nanomembranes are used as anodes for lithium‐ion batteries. The functionalities of the SiO_{(x, y)} layers can be engineered by simply controlling the oxygen content, resulting in anodes that exhibit a reversible capacity of about 1300 mA h g⁻¹ with an excellent stability of over 100 cycles, as well as a good rate capability. <boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pghqcc8s9m" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
