Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <sec id="ijnt12024-sec-0001" sec-type="section"> <title>Purpose</title> <p>The purpose of this study is to compare the locus of control and problem‐solving skills of nursing students studying with the problem‐based learning method with those of nursing students studying with the traditional method.</p> </sec> <sec id="ijnt12024-sec-0002" sec-type="section"> <title>Methods</title> <p>This is a descriptive and comparative study. For data collection, the Problem‐Solving Skills Inventory and the Locus of Control Scale were used. The study sample included 680 nursing students.</p> </sec> <sec id="ijnt12024-sec-0003" sec-type="section"> <title>Conclusions</title> <p>It was determined that the problem‐based learning method was more effective in the development of problem‐solving skills and internal locus of control than was the traditional method.</p> </sec> <sec id="ijnt12024-sec-0004" sec-type="section"> <title>Amaç</title> <p>Bu çalışmanın amacı probleme dayalı öğrenme modeliyle ve geleneksel yöntemle eğitim gören hemşirelik öğrencilerinde problem çözme becerileri ve kontrol odağının karşılaştırılmasıdır.</p> </sec> <sec id="ijnt12024-sec-0005" sec-type="section"> <title>Yöntem</title> <p>Araştırma tanımlayıcı ve karşılaştırmalıdır. Veri toplamada Problem Çözme Becerileri Envanteri ve Kontrol Odağı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 680 hemşirelik öğrencisi oluşturmuştur.</p> </sec> <sec id="ijnt12024-sec-0006" sec-type="section"> <title>Sonuç</title> <p>Probleme dayalı öğrenme modelinin geleneksel modele göre problem çözme becerilerini ve iç kontrol odağını geliştirilmesi yönünden daha etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir.</p> </sec> </abstract>
