- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201400114-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>The charge carrier lifetime</bold> in small molecule: C<sub>60</sub> photovoltaic devices is increased by reducing the physical interface area availabe for recombination. For donor contents below 10%, the gain in open‐circuit voltage (<italic>V<sub>oc</sub></italic>) depends logarithmically on the interface area while the energy of the interfacial charge‐transfer state <italic>E</italic><sub>CT</sub> remains invariant. <boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pghmfn3vt4" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
