- <abstract abstract-type="main" id="iji12121-abs-0001"> <title>Summary</title> <p>This novel <italic>KIR3DS1</italic> allele officially named as <italic>KIR3DS1*0130107</italic> was isolated from DNA samples from Asia using high‐resolution sequenced‐based techniques. <italic>KIR3DS1*0130107</italic> differs from the first member of the KIR3DS1*013 subgroup (<italic>KIR3DS1*0130101</italic>) by a single mutation at position 8922A>G (intron 5), just nine nucleotides away from the start of exon 6.</p> </abstract>
