- <abstract abstract-type="main"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>The tetrakis(4‐<italic>N</italic>‐methylpyridinium)porphyrinatopalladium(II) iodide, [Pd(TMPyP)]I<sub>4</sub>, supported on Dowex 50WX8 and Amberlite IR‐120 ion‐exchange resins, was used as heterogeneous, recyclable and active catalyst for the <named-content content-type="reactionType" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Suzuki–Miyaura</named-content> and Heck <named-content content-type="reactionType" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">cross‐coupling reactions</named-content>. These catalysts were applied to coupling of various aryl halides with phenylboronic acid and styrene in <named-content content-type="reactionType" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Suzuki and Heck reactions</named-content>, respectively, and the corresponding products were obtained in excellent yields and short reaction times. The catalysts could be recovered easily by simple filtration and reused several times without significant loss of their <named-content content-type="chemicalTechnology" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">catalytic activity</named-content>.
