Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adhm201300260-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Electrically responsive hydrogels</bold> are created with interconnected macropores, which greatly enhance their ability to rapidly undergo volumetric collapse when subjected to moderate electric fields.
