- <abstract abstract-type="short"> <title>Main Points</title> <p> <list id="glia22655-list-0001" list-type="bullet"> <list-item id="glia22655-li-0001"> <p>Using the NCI database, we found that upregulation of KCa3.1 correlates with poor prognosis in patients.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="glia22655-li-0002"> <p>Pharmacological inhibition or genetic knockdown of KCa3.1 decreases glioma migration, as investigated <italic>in vitro</italic> and <italic>in situ</italic> in multiple glioma cell types, including patient‐derived xenograft‐propagated tumors.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="glia22655-li-0003"> <p>Glioma invasion is also attenuated by shRNA knockdown of KCa3.1 in tumor cells implanted in mice <italic>in vivo</italic>.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </abstract>
