Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>The nutritional requirements of pet rabbits warrant analysis due to the close association between inappropriate diet and disease. With the multitude of choice of rabbit dry foods available, it is useful to know the difference between them and the current recommendations. In this article, nine rabbit foods available in the UK are presented in terms of their nutritional analysis, with a discussion of the fibre, protein, calcium and phosphorus components. The feeds produced by Burgess Pet Care and Supreme Pet Foods are the veterinary diets named and analysed.</p> </abstract>
