- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Metal‐centred heterocubane structures</bold> characterise the homoleptic tetrakis(silyl) complexes of zerovalent palladium and platinum, [MLi<sub>4</sub>{Si(3, 5‐Me<sub>2</sub>pz)<sub>3</sub>}<sub>4</sub>] (3, 5‐Me<sub>2</sub>pz=3, 5‐dimethylpyrazole; M=Pd or Pt), in which the central d<sup>10</sup> metal atom is surrounded by four silicon and four lithium atoms. Cyclic voltammetry shows that the corresponding cationic d<sup>9</sup> M<sup>I</sup> and dicationic d<sup>8</sup> M<sup>II</sup> complexes are accessible through one‐electron oxidation processes.
