- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Reactions of the open‐cage fullerene C<sub>63</sub>NO<sub>2</sub>(Py)(Ph)<sub>2</sub> (<bold>1</bold>) with [Ru<sub>3</sub>(CO)<sub>12</sub>] produce [Ru<sub>3</sub>(CO)<sub>8</sub>(μ, η<sup>5</sup>‐C<sub>63</sub>NO<sub>2</sub>(Py)(Ph)<sub>2</sub>)] (<bold>2</bold>), [Ru<sub>2</sub>H(CO)<sub>3</sub>(μ, η<sup>7</sup>‐C<sub>63</sub>N(Py)(Ph)(C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>4</sub>))] (<bold>3</bold>), and [Ru(CO)(Py)<sub>2(</sub>η<sup>3</sup>‐C<sub>63</sub>NO<sub>2</sub>(Py)(Ph)<sub>2</sub>)] (<bold>4</bold>), in which the orifice sizes are modified from 12 to 8, 11, and 15‐membered ring, through ruthenium‐mediated CO and CC bond activation and formation.</p> </abstract>
