- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Avoiding additives</bold>: A highly efficient and mild Pd‐catalyzed decarboxylative <italic>ortho‐</italic>acylation of azobenzenes with α‐oxocarboxylic acids was developed that provides an alternative route to acylated azo compounds.
