<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>New clothes for Mn³⁺:</bold> Aerobic alkene cleavage of styrene‐type substrates by <italic>Trametes hirsuta</italic> is attributed to an enzyme that is dependent on manganese in oxidation state three.
