<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Killing them softly.</bold> The molecular basis for the biosynthesis of tolaasin, the <italic>Pseudomonas tolaasii</italic>‐derived causative agent of mushroom (<italic>Agaricus bisporus</italic>) soft rot, was revealed by genome mining and analysis of the NRPS genes.
