- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Sometimes you have to be spontaneous</bold>: Increasing the electrophilicity of carbodicarbenes, by increasing the π‐accepting properties of the carbene moieties, can be done but at the expense of their stability. In contrast to the carbodibenzimidazol‐2‐ylidene, which can be stored at room temperature, the carbodibenzoxazol‐2‐ylidene spontaneously dimerizes above −20 °C. However, this bent allene (CCC angle<sub>calc</sub>: 135.5°) can be spectroscopically characterized and used as a ligand for transition metals.<boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg4t792kgw" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
