<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Sacrificial core–shell nanowire precursors can be readily shape‐transformed into semiconductor nanoribbon materials by a combination of bottom‐up and top‐down procedures, as described by F. Patolsky et al. in their Communication on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 11298 ff.</ext-link> This unexpected nanowire‐to‐nanoribbon transformation process allows the synthesis of superflexible nanoribbons of desired dimension, shape, and chemical composition.<boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg4t3cs2t1" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
