Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Small‐bandgap endohedral metallofullerenes</bold> are fascinating compounds with exotic physical properties. Unfortunately, they are usually not accessible because of their high chemical instability. In their Communication on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 11770 ff.</ext-link>, H. Shinohara et al. describe how the unstable metallofullerenes can be stabilized and readily extracted.
