<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Hard‐shell case</bold>: Using a (RKK)₄D₈ peptide allows mineralization to occur under cytocompatible conditions. Thus individual <italic>Chlorella</italic> cells could be encapsulated within a SiO₂–TiO₂ nanoshell with high cell viability (87 %).
