- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>An efficient synthesis of the antifungal agent (−)‐incrustoporin and analogues based on ring‐closing metathesis (RCM) is described. The ready availability of various allyl alcohols through the Sharpless kinetic resolution and esterification with a variety of substituted aryl acetic acids, followed by α‐methylenation and final RCM to get the targets makes this explored strategy suitable for rapid development of analogues.</p> </abstract>
