<abstract abstract-type="main" id="jace12758-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>The high‐temperature tetragonal structure of Ta₂O₅ was observed in a Ta₂O₅ ceramic sample doped with 8 at.% TiO₂. Direct evidences for the modulation along [<alternatives><inline-graphic mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg4sp1dpzd" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /><mml:math altimg="urn:x-wiley:00027820:media:jace12758:jace12758-math-0001" overflow="scroll" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mrow><mml:mover><mml:mn>1</mml:mn><mml:mo>¯</mml:mo></mml:mover><mml:mn>10</mml:mn></mml:mrow></mml:math></alternatives>] direction caused by Ti replacing Ta are obtained based on atomic‐resolution high‐angle annular dark‐field lattice imaging and electron energy loss spectroscopy analysis. The atomic mechanism of Ti substitution of Ta is explicitly described based on the structure model along [110] direction projection.</p> </abstract>
