Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201470067-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Reduction‐controlled hierarchical unpacking is proposed by Z. Gu and co‐workers on page 1534 for the development of virus‐mimicking gene carriers. By combining a diselenide‐conjugated oligoethylenimine/DNA inner core with a disulfide‐modified hyaluronic acid shield, the resulting ternary polyplexes are designed to be stepwise triggered by the gradient glutathione (GSH) level both at the tumor site and inside the cells.
