<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adhm201300142-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Here, efforts toward the development of a microneedle‐based glucose sensor or "smart patch"</bold> for intradermal glucose sensing are described. Metallic microneedle array electrodes, conducting polymers, and glucose oxidase form the sensor platform.
