<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adfm201470069-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>The first example of a two‐dimensional, nonlinear photonic crystal fabricated on an ultra‐transparent ferroelectric fluoride crystal is demonstrated by M. O. Ramirez and co‐workers via direct electron beam writing.
