- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="smll201470032-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>A facile supramolecular approach is demonstrated for the formation of functionalized nanofibers by combining the advantages of biocatalytic self‐assembly and surfactant/gelator co‐assembly. As reported on page 973 by Y. M. Abul‐Haija, R. V. Ulijn, and co‐workers, this is achieved by enzymatically triggered reconfiguration of free flowing micellar aggregates of pre‐gelators and functional surfactants to form nanofibers that incorporate and display the surfactants' functionality at the surface. <boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg4sz3kqbm" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
