Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The nonlinear and linear properties in Metglas/piezofiber magnetoelectric composites under DC bias fields (<italic>H</italic>_bias) have been investigated via a frequency‐conversion technique. It was found that the major noise near the carrier frequency (<italic>f</italic>_C) is caused by the driven source. Both linear ME coefficient and noise floor near <italic>f</italic>_C (bandwidth of noise measurement is 10 Hz) were dependent on <italic>H</italic>_bias, while the nonlinear ME coefficient was independent. A high magnetic‐field sensitivity of 40 pT was obtained after optimizing <italic>H</italic>_bias. (© 2014 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH &amp; Co. KGaA, Weinheim)</p> </abstract>
