- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Appearing with a trace!</bold> A new colorimetric nanosensor for Cr<sup>VI</sup> from the amyloid fibrils of hen lysozyme has been developed (see picture). This nanosensor, which makes use of hen lysozyme fibrils as Cr<sup>VI</sup> binders and acidified diphenylcarbazide (DPC) as the colorimetric probe, can specifically detect Cr<sup>VI</sup> at the ppb level without sample pretreatment and the use of advanced instruments.<boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg4t3ms5kv" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
