<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Face off</bold>: The ruthenium complexes of a new axially chiral PNN ligand (<bold>L</bold>) are highly efficient in the presence of dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) for hydrogenation of both functionalized and unfunctionalized <italic>tert</italic>‐alkyl ketones. DMSO is thought to narrow down the many possible complex stereoisomers into a single facial <bold>L</bold>/Ru complex, thus enhancing the reactivity, selectivity, and productivity.<boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg36jzxnqx" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
