Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <italic> <bold>The generalized theory of relativity</bold> </italic> gives a correct explanation of the residual motion of the perihelion of planet mercury. As F. Calvo, P. Schwerdtfeger, et al. show in their Communication on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 7583 ff.</ext-link>, the special theory of relativity has furnished an even more remarkable result.
