Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>A porphyrin aza analogue that contains no pyrrol subunits absorbs in the entire visible region. D. Jacquemin, O. Siri, and co‐workers show in their Communication on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 6250 ff.</ext-link> that the central 16‐membered ring containing four nitrogen atoms has 18 delocalized π electrons, and is thus aromatic.
