Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <italic> <bold>N</bold> </italic>, <italic><bold>N</bold></italic><bold>‐Dimethylferrocenylmethylamine</bold> can be lithiated stereoselectively by <italic>i</italic>PrLi in pentane/Et₂O using catalytic amounts of the chiral auxiliary (<italic>R</italic>, <italic>R</italic>)‐TMCDA. In homogenous reactions, high e.r. values were obtained upon crystallization of the lithiated species. The catalytic activity of TMCDA is made possible by its release from the stereomerically pure lithioferrocene as it dimerizes to a homochiral dimeric etherate.<boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg36jzwt56" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
