Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>King of donor</bold>: The chelating bis(carbene) <bold>1</bold> enabled the synthesis of the new silyliumylidene salt <bold>2</bold>. This salt can be dechlorinated with sodium naphthalenide to give the first cyclic siladicarbene <bold>3</bold>, which bears a single Si⁰ atom with strikingly high basicity. The small C‐Si‐C angle of 89.1° and the average CSi distance of 1.869 Å are consistent with results from theoretical calculations, which revealed that <bold>3</bold> is best described as a silylone.<boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg26mfw2h3" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
