- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Simple and selective</bold>: Tyrosine phosphorylation is a pivotal post‐translational modification which regulates the enzymatic activity, protein conformation, and protein–protein interactions. The highly efficient genetic incorporation of 3, 5‐difluorotyrosine (F2Y) in <italic>E. coli</italic> and the use of F2Y as a <sup>19</sup>F NMR probe for the tyrosine phosphorylation are reported (see picture).<boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg1x47k7kk" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
