<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Glycosaminoglycans</bold> (GAGs) are important sulfated carbohydrates prevalent in the extracellular matrix. The synthesis of structurally defined GAGs requires laborious procedures, and incorporating defined sulfation patterns is challenging.
