<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Together we are strong</bold>: Immediately after high‐temperature reduction, ZnPd/ZnO catalysts are not notably CO₂ selective in the methanol steam reforming process. Under methanol steam reforming conditions, high CO₂ selectivity can only be achieved by the rather slow formation of ZnO patches on the surface of intermetallic ZnPd nanoparticles to create a highly synergistic interface.<boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg1xprfzq2" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
