<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Watch the signs!</bold> The new Zintl phase Eu_{5+<italic>x</italic>}Mg_{18−<italic>x</italic>}Si₁₃ (<italic>x</italic>=2.2) displays a negative as well as a positive magnetoresistive effect depending on the temperature.
