<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>CuTe bonds!</bold> A delicate balance between polyanionic TeTe bonds and multicenter CuCu and CuTe interactions is found in the modulated structure of CuTe.
