- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Phase‐controlled nickel sulfide (Ni<sub>3</sub>S<sub>4</sub> and NiS<sub>1.03</sub>) nanoparticle (NP)/nitrogen‐doped graphene (NG) composites</bold> are prepared through a facile one‐pot hydrothermal process. The composites show ultrahigh capacity retentions of 98.87% and 95.94% for Ni<sub>3</sub>S<sub>4</sub>/NG and NiS<sub>1.03</sub>/NG electrodes, respectively, as anode materials for lithium ion batteries. <boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg1xrnm49x" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
