<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p> <boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"> <graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg1v5854c1" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /> </boxed-text> </p> <p>The electron–phonon coupling in the Rashba‐split two‐dimensional electron gas near the surface of the topological insulator Bi₂Se₃ is studied by temperature‐dependent angleresolved photoemission. The coupling strength is found to be rather weak, with an electron–phonon mass enhancement parameter <tex-math notation="tex"><![CDATA[$ \lambda = 0.12(8). $]]></tex-math><inline-graphic xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg1v5838xz" mimetype="image" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /> (© 2013 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH &amp; Co.
