Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>A three‐port two‐way isosceles triangular microstrip unequal power divider configuration has been proposed for broadband and direct coupled applications. An isosceles triangular microstrip patch is fed at the vertex of one of its equal angles and unequal power division has been obtained at the other two vertices. Unequal power division from –6.2 to –15.9 dB has been achieved by varying the height of the triangular patch. This configuration has been analyzed using transmission line model and commercially available ie3d software, followed by experimental verifications. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
