Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Phytochemical investigation of the seeds of <italic>Alpinia katsumadai</italic> (Zingiberaceae) led to the isolation and identification of six new diarylheptanoid derivatives, katsumains D–G (<bold>1</bold>–<bold>4</bold>), 3‐(acetyloxy)‐alpinikatin (<bold>5</bold>), and 5‐(acetyloxy)alpinikatin (<bold>6</bold>). The structures of <bold>1</bold>–<bold>6</bold> were elucidated by spectroscopic data analysis including 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR experiments.</p> </abstract>
