Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Three new hasubanan alkaloids, hernsubanines A–C (<bold>1</bold>–<bold>3</bold>, resp.), were isolated from the whole plants of <italic>Stephania hernandifolia.</italic> Their structures were elucidated on the basis of physical and spectroscopic data. In <italic>in vitro</italic> tests for cytotoxic activity against two human cancer cell lines, A 549 and K 562, compound <bold>1</bold> did not exhibit any cytotoxicity.</p> </abstract>
